01.020.0201D End of wall or jamb

This diagram shows the end of wall or typical jamb condition in a concrete masonry wall. Grout and reinforcement are spaced vertically and horizontally within the wall at designed intervals. The top course is a bond beam with a hook returning vertically down the wall, overlapping the vertical bar in the end cell distance as designed. An optional grout stop is shown to confine grout to the bond beam course if required. Vertical bars are held in place with bar positioner or similar device spaced 200 bar diameters max. or as desgined. This detail as shown is intended to illustrate a general concept or method of construction.
