02.120.0229 Steel beam under concrete masonry wall

This detail shows a reinforced masonry wall bearing on a suspended slab with a steel beam directly underneath with hooked dowels in alternating directions into the slab. When the flutes of the decking do not line up with the beam below, engineer must verify hooked dowels can be developed into the slab. Concrete masonry wall is grouted and reinforced vertically and horizontally at intervals per design. This detail as shown is intended to illustrate a general concept or method of construction.      04.030.0202 Dimension stone wall, interior | Wire ties and molding plaster This detail shows 2 cm (3/4 in.) thick dimension stone anchored to an interior wall substrate with anchors of 8-gauge  (0.1285”) copper or stainless steel wire ties encapsulated by molding plaster at the perimeter of each stone panel. The wire is fitted into slightly oversized holes in edges of the stone panels, with wood plugs filling the space around the wire. The wire anchors are sized and spaced per empirical design and are fastened to the concrete masonry backing via holes cut into the block, also filled with plaster or rapid-curing cementitious material. Joints between the panels may be finished with compatible sealant and backer rod (not shown for clarity).
