02.120.0231 Concrete masonry wall restraint to adjacent steel beam, decking perpendicular to wall

This detail shows the top of wall restraint where a parallel structural steel beam or girder is adjacent to the concrete masonry wall and the decking runs perpendicular to the wall. The wall is anchored to the beam using a bent plate, and the beam is braced with a diagonal angle brace connecting to the suspended slab above to resist lateral loads. On the side of the wall opposite the beam, the wall is restrained by angles anchored into the suspended slab above. The top of the masonry is held back about 1 1/2" from the plate above. This detail as shown is intended to illustrate a general concept or method of construction.      04.030.0202 Dimension stone wall, interior | Wire ties and molding plaster This detail shows 2 cm (3/4 in.) thick dimension stone anchored to an interior wall substrate with anchors of 8-gauge  (0.1285”) copper or stainless steel wire ties encapsulated by molding plaster at the perimeter of each stone panel. The wire is fitted into slightly oversized holes in edges of the stone panels, with wood plugs filling the space around the wire. The wire anchors are sized and spaced per empirical design and are fastened to the concrete masonry backing via holes cut into the block, also filled with plaster or rapid-curing cementitious material. Joints between the panels may be finished with compatible sealant and backer rod (not shown for clarity).
